Holiday hangovers...

Well, its been the 1st week since holidays, and honestly im still suffering from holiday hangovers... hehe... But its been good...

My school (Sabah College) were invited (for the 1st time, i think!) to participate in the Inter-School CF Bible Quiz today, and the quiz was held at All Saints Cathedral (why not at Sacred Heart?)...

Each school has 4 ppl in the quiz itself; besides that each school needs to give a short performance, so we all performed a (super)short skit, slideshow and singing... we brought the song, 'One Way' (which was sooo cool!)....

Arrived at 7 am juz now, and seemed lost and alone, then had me fren to bring me in... Turned out nearly all of me mates were there.... Went in, saw a few of me friends from camp and LifeTeen (hehe), and then took pics of me school mates, and the quiz started.

So wished me mates good luck, mind me own buisness, and hanged around... Then came the first performances, was good, then quiz again, then performance, the quiz again, then another rprerformance, then quiz again.... heheh... The quiz was divided into 4 rounds, and 2 schools are eliminated at each round, with the final 2 in the last round... Sabah College nearly made it, but missed the final by 1 point.. We eventually finished 3rd, so not bad, considering its their 1st time... Maybe next year, when maybe i'll join in... heheh...

Then after the final round, it was our turn for the performance, so up we went... The room felt even colder then before (maybe coz its me?) and then we started the skit... luckily this was just for fun, or else we wouldn't be doing well... hehe... wat 2 do, rehearsed for 5 days onli wor... hehe... then it was the slideshow, presented by me fren, Karen, and then the group singing... We sang "One Way", and it sparked the room to life, and lots of ppl were like singing along to this song.... (maybe coz its famous and its always sung at LifeTeen?) I know me frens did... ;-) Then that's it....

After that, lunch time, sat outside and ate with Max, and then went in for the final results... In the final round of the quiz, Lok Yuk were up against the hosts (and sentimental favourites??) St Francis Convent... Lok Yuk won by a point, 48-47 if im not mistaken, but like they said, winning is not the most important thing in the quiz... But i would have liked to win it... hehe... So, congrats to Lok Yuk, winners, and Convent, runners up... 3rd place, us... not bad.. hehe....

Then when it was time to go home, the Convent girls suddenly sang "Happy Birthday" to Amanda Alexis (who's also my friend... hehe!) ... So cool.. I wished her happy birthday too... Then, i wished n greeted any of me frens whom i met, and went home... And that was that...

Then, i went to LifeNight juz now (wow, its Sunday morning now! 2 am wor...) and there was a talk on the sacrements... My newest fren, Maxine, came along for the first time, and looked blurr (sorry ah! hehe...) but it was ok! Right, Max? The LifeNight was good.. hehe... But i wont be going to next week's lifenite, im off to KL for something... hehe... tata!

(Wow, its 2 am already, and i didnt realize! Gotta sleep!)

Ok, that's all! Till next time, bye! (If got anything left out, lemme know, maybe later i'll update this post!)

The 2006 FIFA World Cup is well and truly underway!

Well, first thing first, VIVA LA ESPANA!! Go Spain! I know im one of the few who support Spain, but watch their games, and so far, they play the best football, created the best moves, and are very intelligent with the ball. And scores goals for fun! I hope Spain will go far in this World Cup... After years of underachievement, maybe, just maybe THIS is their year!

Now, this past week has been filled with the World Cup mania, even in school! hehe... I guess that's the power of football, the ability to unite people into one... Now, the official site, fifaworldcup.com has lots of news, pics, details and info, so i'd suggest you guys and gals check it out!

Who will win the World Cup? Well, Brazil struggled against a brilliant Croatia side, Germany are lucky to scrape a narrow win over Poland, Italy looked good on paper, but failed to live up to its hype in the match, so too Argentina, England's chances look bleak, Holland have failed to impress.. That leaves Spain with a chance of winning it...

I have a lot to say about the World Cup and football in general, but i'll leave that to another day, in my article on a major website... So, tata!

VIVA ESPANA!!

This has been an unforgettable holiday! Summer holidays....

Well, the summer holidays will be over in a while... It's been great, it's been fun, and if it's great, and it's fun, then why change it? hehe....

Well, this past 2 weeks have been briiliant... It started with Lifeteen youth camp, which i have already told about... Then we had the Worship Rally - Spread The Fire (Wildfire) a week later (unfortunately, i didn't go coz i fell sick, and very sick i may add...) and from what i heard from me very good friends from LifeTeen, it was great... hehe...

Then, yesterday we had LifeNight, about the church history, and a Q&A session... The LifeNight panned out great.., hehe....

Then, today there was an I.U. (International Undersanding) Bazaar at CP, Palm Square... Too bad i went late, so i missed all the action... hehe... i juz dropped by, said hi to me pals there, and went shopping (window shopping.. haha!) in CP... Finally i get to go out, and its the last day of holidays... haih...

Well, i guess im quite ready for school tomorrow... One thing though, i missed Youth Camp, for some reason.... I enjoyed it, it was great, and i missed it.. Well, life has to go on... But the memories from camp will be with me forever... hehe... or at least till nxt camp... hehe...

Ok, i guess that's it! I don't want the holidays to end for 2-3 days more, but it has to... So, back to school!

Bye!

Thank you's, congratulations and special messages...

Firstly, i would like to say thank you to everyone at LifeTeen for making me feel wanted in this world, and now it feels like i have another family in LifeTeen!(dunno why i suddenly wanna say this, but its true!) Thanks to all LifeTeeners who help make me feel wanted and for being my friends! Thank you for all those sessions, and for the camp, and the core and sub-core members did a fantastic job on the camp....

Thanks to Jude Antoine (i wonder if he'll read this...) for his wonderful sessions, and for being there to talk throughout the camp.. And thank you to all my friends, who have helped me and be there fo me over the years... Oh yeah, thanks especially to ya, Anthea, for introducing LifeTeen and PlanetShakers to me; without it, maybe i won't be the same person i am now... hehe!

Ah, Happy Birthday to me pals this June, which include... Leslie! haha... today, 06-06-06... bah les, jaga2 kena siram air nnti... haha! And to all my pals whose birthdays are in June... lemme see... hmm, i remember les, Emarald, who else ah? oh ya, Amanda Alexis, Zen... tu sj... to those i didnt mention, sorry ah! Happy birthday to ya too! hehe...

Lastly, i wanna thank everyone who read my blog, for taking ur time to do so (padahal sa yg advertise.. haha...)

Ok, that's all!

Boring....

Sigh, it’s a boring day.. Stuck in my mum’s office, typing my essay assignment (which, by the way, is damn boring and lame, since, its, OMG, BM!) and looking at the clear skies… Well, its been a boring day so far, and its only 10 am!

I haven’t completed my last post about the LifeTeen youth camp, coz I fell sick, and then my internet line had problems, so maybe posting all those pics (gosh, I took 130 pics, most of them are just for me and only me tho.. ;-) hehe!) So maybe it will take time to upload all those pics…

Anyway, so far me holidays are great, except missing out on the Worship Rally… (oh yeah, to everyone who went, I know u all had a good time with the Lord, and that it was great praising and worshipping Him.. hehe!) Then, after camp, back to boredom.. heheh… At least I got to go shopping… (or window shopping... sigh….)

Oh yeah, World Cup’s coming! Hehe… This Friday, the carnival and the tournament starts, I can’t wait! After all, it only comes once in 4 years. My favourites for the title, maybe England, Spain, Germany Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Holland or any team, coz there’s full of surprises in store… It also gives the managers of some clubs to view their potential transfer targets (read: signings, flops) or newly bought players… One thing’s for sure, its gonna be an exciting month!

Well, I guess that’s all! Later!

Happy, sad, happy, sad...

I know, i know, im supposed to be at the Worship Rally, but i fell ill this morning (even as i type now, im in pain..) and i cant go... I have the damn sore throat, fever and headache... And typing this post is one headache indeed!

Well, i woke up this morning with one serious sore throat, and fever... By 9 am i was very ill, but then i got better, then worse again... So here i am, at home... Well, at least one consolation of me missing out on the rally is watching the Akademi Fantasia Concert 1, which is brilliant... Hehe...

Well, i guess that's it... Nothing much.... Hehe..

Till next time, bye!

LifeTeen Youth Camp 2006 was great! Come, Taste and See! Experience Jesus... I sure did! (Part 4)

Overall, i'd say camp was fun, refreshing, and above all touching.. hehe... Well, the reason i did 4 parts was to have 1 part dedicated to each day, and the final one for my overall thoughts and pics (This post lah!) hehe...

So, without further ado, here are some of the pics from camp!

(For more pics, please visit http://kenlaiya.blogs.friendster.com/photos/the_best_of_me_2006/ )

Now...

Overall, to me, this camp has been a wonderful experience, a thrilling one, indeed. During the 3 days, i met quite a number of new friends, learned a lot, adapted with camp life, and most importantly, i got to experience Him.. It was truly touching and wonderful indeed...

This camp was also a good rest and relaxation after the 2 week marathon of exams... Hard and fast... I truly enjoyed this camp, and liked every one of Jude's sessions and skit plays... Some skits were funny, some were touching... (As yet, i haven't received my disc which contains those skits... Interested? Let me know...) I know some of you may say "its ok but its the same as last year", but for me this was new... So it was great for me...

Well, i guess that's it about the camp... I've written a lot already about this camp... Let the pictures tell the story... hehe...

Come, Taste and See... Experience Jesus!

LifeTeen Youth Camp 2006 was great! Come, Taste and See! Experience Jesus... I sure did! (Part 3)

Day 3 - 29th May 2006

Finally, the last day of camp beckons. This time, i slet well, and woke up late! It was already 7 when i woke up, so hurriedly i went to brush me teeth and wash up while the others were already in the hall... This morning we had aerobic excercises before breakfast. As i was groggy and headache, i didnt really take part, and i kept waking meself up... Eventually i regained my composure during breakfast, and i was ready...

Then it was Praise and Worship time again... hehe... Then it was Session 6, "Give Jesus", with the skit "Compassion", and it was good, as usual... (what u want me 2 say? hehe...) Then it was time for the Prayer Ministry, the Empowering of the Holy Spirit.. It was great and i felt good, and now i am a Missionary! hehe... All 200++ of us... hehe... Then it was time for tea break, and then the closing mass...

The closing mass was also presided over by the same priest, and once again i was in charge of the banner procession thingys... hehe... Then, the funny thing was, as i finished carryin the banner, i went to stop over for a while near the choir, then ended up singing with the rest of the choir! So, it was a funny moment indeed but at that time it seemed serious as any screw ups will be obvious... Then after mass it was time for the thank you's, congratulations' and so on... And then....

Birthday celebrations! Me mates, Jess, Anthea and Adam ngam2 their birthdays were today, so they celebrated their birthdays on stage, together with the rest of the birthday teens in May... So cool oh they all, get to praise and worship the Lord on their birthday, with all their friends (incl. me... hehe...) and then get sprayed water! (tho i would like to avoid THAT last part... hehe..) So, happy birthday to all Lifeteeners yg May, esp those 3.... hehe.. What a way to end the camp, with some praise and worship!

Then it was our final lunch, and i took lots of pics with all the pals as a memory... Who knows? hehe... anyway, took lots of pics, got ready me farewells and checked me affirmations for a last time.. hehe... Then, sadly, it was time to clean up and leave.. I packed me stuff, checked around one last time, and played a little basketball before leaving... Then, i waited for me dad outside, in the canteen, and took some final shots as a memory... The whole building, the place, the people, it will always be remembered as where i met Him....

So, it was farewell, and goodbye...

(Part 4, the overall experience coming soon)

LifeTeen Youth Camp 2006 was great! Come, Taste and See! Experience Jesus... I sure did! (Part 2)

Day 2 - 28th May 2006

Sunday started with many mosquito bites and being groggy... Woke up at 5.30 am, and went to brush me teeth and wash up before 6.30.. Went to the hall before 7 to get prepared for morning excercises, then it was breakfast... Then, as usual, it was Praise and Worship time, and as usual, we sang our praises and so on....

Then, it was Session 3, "Why Jesus?" but this time the accompanying skit was delayed till the next Session... Anyway, the session was ok, and then it was tea break... Delightful delicacies and drinks, before the next session 4, "How To Be Like Jesus" with the skit from the previous session, "Jesus Stay". This was also an emotional one, and very good. (Maybe later i'll upload all videos and pics in a seperate website) Then it was lunch break. (The small group activity, "I can be Jesus to others" was cancelled due to less time)

After that, it was Praise and Worship time again! hehe.. Then, it came to serious buisness... A short briefing, followed by a confession and adoration... It lasted throughout till around 4.30, and the thing was it was raining heavily during this time, with strong lightning and thunder accompanying the rain... It was so strong, like it was an omen or something... (Funnily enough, the previous day, it was also raining, but at night, so the session at night lasted longer, with us being told around to wait around and mingle...) During the thunderstorm, me new friend got scared, so i told me friend to be calm... Me pal had a rosary around, and funnily enough it snapped and fell... (sorry ah 4 mentioning this! hehe...) Then, i had a new friend! hehe... See, i managed to make lots o new frens in camp...

Then when the rain subsided a bit, it was time to wash up and tea break... I quickly took a bath, and went to drink (but didnt eat, no appetite) before Praise and Worship time, yet again! hehe... 3 times a day... Then, it came to the 5th Session, "Touch Jesus", with the skit from session 4, "Dr. Jesus".. It was funny also, and then it was Prayer Ministry Time - Healing.... What happened then will not be published here (obviously)... Then it was announcement time, then supper before lights out...

I moved to me mate's room on this night after i couldn't stand the mosquito bites and me mate's rom was better, with all me pals there! hehe.. Slept at 1 am after i couldn't sleep... Listening to Gordon and Leslie playin guitars... And that was it...

(Day 3 coming soon...)

LifeTeen Youth Camp 2006 was great! Come, Taste and See! Experience Jesus... I sure did! (Part 1)

Well, i guess the title says it all... I know lots of my friends who went for camp will also have the same feeling, but this was special, for lots of reasons. This was my first ever camp, and it was great, i got to settle into camp life fairly quickly, and had no complaints... Too bad the camp was short... Oh wel, we'll all meet again every week! hehe.... No complaints here, then!

Anyway, i had lots of good memories of this camp, and i met a few new frens as well as old ones back... Man, it was good... And here's how it all happened....

(BTW, I won't be typing too much details here, as im sue most of me pals have already gone for this camp, and will have experienced the same thing.. I will be typing my view on the camp, how it's like and so on.. Sessions and Prayer Ministry will not be written about here... Maybe next time.. Oh, and this will be divided to 3 posts, one for each day-Ed.)

DAY 1 - 27th May 2006

It started off on Saturday, when i checked in... The moment i went inside the school i tought "woah, this place was big! It's gonna be great!". Fine, then i went to register and was told where me room was. Problem is, the girls get to stay in the new fine secondary schools, while us guys were allcated the mini-camous, a few blocks of wooden rickety sheds with fine carpets (actually it was a good, normal classroom that we slept in).... Fine, fair enough... The good thing was the toilets were just at the back of me place, the bad thing was the pump and flush went bust. Got to settle in fairly quickly, and arranged me stuff before heading out for the 1st agenda on the setlist, the intro..

1st thing, the intro and ice-breakers. Well, it started off fine, and me mate's band' LifeTeen Soldiers, performed 1 song (only one?) and the rest was fine.. The ice breaker was damn funny... We were divided into groups according to color, and then we played "(fill the name) Says: and it was hillarious! We mixed with other groups of different colours, and it was a ruckus! Eventually we finished, settled down and then Lunch break.. Mmm, the lunch was great (hehe) and delicious, but that's another thing...

Then it was the 1st of 6 sessions throught the 3 days, "Who Is Jesus?" with a mini-skit, "The Champion". It was funny, with Dom and Deon acting it out... Was like watching Sonny Liston fight Cassius Clay... Then the speaker for the camp, Mr. Jude Antoine (or just plain ol' Jude) gave his first of his repetoire of talks, and stunning as it was brilliant. He talked about who is jesus, and so on... Then we had a general discussion on what is me expectations of this camp, and who is Jesus to me... Me group was with Johnny and the others... It was fine.. hehe...

Then break time, and wash up... I quckly had a bath with cold water, then went off for tea and biscuits, English style... Then we had the opening mass, and then we had an opening mass, saw over by the Preist who came in, Mr. Wong. The mass procession went on smoothly, and me mates were doing the choir, while I carried the procession banners. It was normal.. Then dinner time. Dinner was great too, and the canteen had a mashed potato making machine, and it was delicious! Too bad the machine is only avaialbe in 3 schools in KK, and not in mine..

Then, after eating, drinking and chatting, it was Praise and Worship time! And it was great, like any othe P&S sessions in LifeTeen or during this camp! hehe... I forgot in what order did we sing the songs... Then it was Session 2, "Where Is Jesus" and with an accompaniying skit, "Torn Hearts". It was very sad, and emotional, and i cried to be honest, coz it was that touching... Another great talk (no one was bored or tired, that's how good it is..) and then Prayer Ministry Time. Then, finally it was super, and lights out.

When it came to bed time, it was miserable for me... The damn mosuitoes kept on biting me hand and face, up till i had to cover meself in whole, and still they kept biting! Damn! Finally managed to sleep, and that's it.

(Experiences in Day 2 coming soon...)

One Last Night....

As the title suggests, this will be my last post for sometime, as i will have my exams next week (wish me luck!) and after that i will have camp, so maybe i'll be out fro a month...

Now, just now i attended my last LifeNite for this month till camo, and it was a blast! LifeTeen ahd the Jaycee Awards (yeah, that stands for Jesus Christ Awards) and we get to pick the best verse, and so on... And the mini play was hillarious, like the Academy Awards.. (konon!)

The whole night was great, and im glad i decided to come for one last time, before my exams....

Now the whole week was ok, and the exams has been postponed to 15th May (yay!), so more time to study! hehe.... Oh ya, to all my friends in other skuls, good luck for your exams alright! hehe.. Hope we all get good or great grades!

Anh, back to school life... Im bored of skul! Im bored of life! I dunno why, but sometimes i get kinda depressed and lonely, like no one cares about me in school... Im only happy when i go to church and for LifeNight... Hmm, even at home im kinda lonely, being the only kid i suppose.... Well, that's life...

Ah, in class, the Chemistry and Biology teachers have been replaced part time by trainee teachers from UMS.... Its a good thing, but a week before exams? Maybe that's a liability... Because different teachers have different methods of teaching, but im not against it, its just a matter of timing... But overall its ok....

What else ah during this past week? Hmm... Oh eyah, on Friday we had our first ever Christian Fellowship in school, and we were brought (or rather walk!) to Sacred Heart Parish Centre, and we joined the St.Francis Convent CF for our first time ever! And there were lots of familliar faces form LifeTeen, so it was cool, and i liked it, after all CF is our rights! hehe... The next CF is on 23rd of June, so see everyone then!

Ok, i guess that's it for my lst hurrah! Till im back soon, bye!

A wonderful night to remember.... LifeTeen camp's coming!

What a night! Tonight LifeTeen had a birthday celebration for lifeteeners whose birthdays were on March and April, and surprise, surprise! It was me who was one of them, and it was fun! hehe...

This was the first time i celebrated my birthday with so many friends, and on a large scale... And it was great... Before that, it was CG LifeNight, which emant we were split into small(er) groups... It was fun... (esp the imagining part!) We were asked to imagine going back in time, and going far back to ancient civilisation, where there were no modern facilities, and so on... It was fun, and everyone's response was funny.. hehe... And that was that...

Today, i went out for what has been a long while, and i met up with an old friend, which was great! hehe... It goes to show what friendship iz all about.. hehe...

Ah, and as of now, Liverpool has just recorded a fine 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in their last home game of the season. Wonderful goals from Fernando Morientes and 2 from Steven Gerrard, including a scorching drive from 40 yards, swerving into the net. Yay Liverpool! hehe...

Fernando Morientes after scoring the first goal against Villa.

Well, i guess that's all for this wonderful night to remember... hehe... Till next time, c ya!

P.S. LifeTeen Youth Camp's coming! yay! I can't wait! The theme for this year is "Experience Jesus" and the camp will be held at Maktab Nasional. For more info, contact the LifeTeen Core Leaders or me! hehe... See ya!

All The Roadrunning....

The title album by ex-Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler and country legend Emmylou Harris is out now. 'All The Roadrunning' features 12 songs performed by Mark and Emmylou, a result of 7 years of collaboration. I highly reccommend this great album, filled with easy listening songs. All The Roadrunning, by Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris.

Now, back to my life.....

The past week has been boring, save for a few drama meetings which brought out the humor and laughters in us... Monday was ok, save the real "drama" (u know what i mean....) during the Earth Day launching in the field...

Wednesday we had another kerja amal, this time for Earth day, and we all were asked to arrange the old newspapers, and it was ok, but then it was hot!! But at least we didnt have class for a while.. hehe..

Other highlights of an otherwise boring week, well, nothing... I guess that's all that's noteworthy...

Oh yeah, Liverpool reaching the FA Cup final after a brilliant 2-1 win over Chelsea! haha! Who's the man?? hehe...

I guess that's all! tata!

Champions.... Blast Off! (No, not the Astro band competition...)

Well, today's been a great day for me, and im really happy now...

Today, the school held a Rocket Launching Competition in the filed, and there were 16 teams competing, and my team was one of them. My team was called "Fender" as a tribute to the greatest guitar brand ever, (although Gibson aint far behind! I like both Fender and Gibson 'coz Mark Knopfler uses them. Brilliant guitarist!) My team was me, Alvin and Mortigou, but those 2 went off to their Dreams and Teams, when this competition was a once-in-a-lifetime chance... And im still upset now...

So anyway, today there was supposed to be no lessons, coz the Muslim students were supposed to go to the hall for a function, while the Moral students all dunno go where.... The 'rocketeers were exempt from all those, so we all went to the field. That meant i was alone, and i was facing a huge headache, on the parachute part of the rocket.. (P.S., this competition was divided into 2 categories: Trajectory (farthest flight) and Parachute (longest in the air) today...)

So the teacher gathered us all for a short talk on the competition, while i was frantically fixing the rocket.... Meanwhile, the other Form 4 Moral students went for a kerja amal (by Teacher Surilla) in the kindergarden near Sembulan (is it?) and they were doing something else. Right, back to the rocket.

First off was the parachute competition, and only a few teams joined. My first try was a failure, but luckily there was a 2nd run, and i managed to get the parachute to open, though it lasted for only 5 seconds in the air. The winner for that part was Chan's team, and congrats mate. 20 seconds in the air.

Then, the thrill begins. The trajectory competiton. The Fender Rocket was all set and ready to launch, but by the time my turn arrived, i was sweating.. The farthest so far was 97 metres... So i prepared for my rocket. Filled the water, checked; pumped the air, checked; and then it was lauch time... Poof, 78 metres was the 1st try, and then it looked gloomy, with the distance no match for the leading team, and the nosecone broken... But then nothing is impossible, like Liverpool's Champions League win.. (ok, that's kinda off topic, i know, but this shows that NOTHING is impossible...)

So i quickly repaired the nosecone and fixed a new one over the old one to make it stronger and more aerodynamic. Then the 2nd try came, and i can remeber every bit of detail as my rocket was about to do something very special....

I went to fill the water as Chan's team was getting ready his 'secret weapon' (a super rocket).... Then i waited for my turn, made some adjustments to the wing and nosecone, and then it was time. I placed my rocket in th launcher, tightened it, pumped the apir in, closed all the valves, adjusted the launcher angle, and then..... BANG!! Off it went into the air, and it went so far that i hardy could see it! I was excited, but not yet, coz they havenmt measured the distance at that time.

I went over to the far side to get my rocket and the distance. I jogged back to the starting point, and halfway i asked "how far?!" Then the reply was the best thing i heard. 112 metres!! Then ecstasy as i jumped and shouted in celebration! 112 metres! And that turned out to be the winning distance. So the Fender Rocket is the winner! Wow... Absolutely incredible!

To be honest, after the first try, it had look bleak and i thought i would lose, let alone go past 100 metres, but it did! And i was so happy! You should have seen me celebrate. It was like Liverpool winning the Champions League after 21 years! Absolutely estatic!

So now that Fender won, our team will represent the school in the school-level competiton.

It was one of the best days of my life, winning the rocket competition almost single-handedly! (after all, during competition day, I was the one who did all the work in helping it to be a sucess.. hehe!) Now i can still feel the win....

The freakiest day in my 4 years in school...

Really freaky... The strange weather probably sums it up.... Today was the freakiest day in my 4 years in Sabah College, and this probably started 2 weeks ago...

Based on word of mouth and what i saw, this whole hysteria thigy started 2 weeks ago, and continued till today.... Practicaly everyday there was shouting and screaming... It was shocking but curiousity took over, but soonm when it happened over and over again, it got boring.... Until today....

I should have known what will happen today.... Me and my friends were asked to help arrange the class chairs n tables for 3K and 3T for today's procession....

7.00 am, and the ritual begins.... The 2 classes each had a mr. ustaz to help chase away the bad spiris, and during the whole day, from then till around 11, so much screaming and shouting went on.... Lots of ppl kena rasuk dis.... around 20++.... all the form 3 kena xcept 3 Makmur, which was testament to their strong spirit... Lucky oo they all... As for me, well, i was not that scared.... Until the boys finally kena rasuk... Then i started to worry, but not to the point of screaming lah... Rehat oso in chaos this, so many ppl naik turun.... Ah, then going home time, the weather sudenly got gloomy and then, hujan kuat, plus strong thunder.... Omens this....

I think i don't have to say much, coz EVERYONE knows bout this... And since im tired rite now, this is where i'll stop... For now....

An eventful last few days.... Saddening...

The title says it all...

These last few days has been, the least to say, eventful... Sadly, all are down experiences, no positives at all...

On Thursday, it was a really frustrating day, to say the least.... First, me mate's pencil box was "attacked" by a giant bee, and me fren tried to get rid of it, and to me fren'sa credit, got rid of it, but funnily enough, it fell down the corridor as me mate got rid of the bee... heheh....

Then, the controversy bee-gins (excuse the pun)... Our class money, a big chocolate (i wont say whose, later my fren slack me off) and some other valuables got lost while we were away in the Chemistry lab, and maybe some itchy hands from our neighbour class took it (i say maybe.... not peoven yet.... Some of u all know what kinda class 4M is next to.... 5S!!! (eeeh! i hate them! n im so in trpuble if they see this... LOL.. peduli...) And then, they try to act tough again... Eeesh, as if!! I hate them!!! Always disturbing our class only!! 4A oso kena, some of their stuff also went missing.... So sad.....

But one bright spot was that i got PlanetShakers' new album, Arise, later!! Yah!! 2CDs agen that... heheh.... majesty.....

Then on friday, the bad news struck.... me mum got sick, and was admitted to hospital... Apparently she got very ill, but now she's fine, but still resting in hospital... I watched her with me dad, and still found time to attend the Holy Week mass on Thursday and today... (Good Friday bah, must) hehe... She got appendix, through some viral infection, and was in semi-serious condition.... But now she's fine... I miss my mum!! And now im like depressed, sad and tired...

Oh yeah, this was the first time i attended mass in Holy Week... (aiyah, just re-discovered the Lord, thanks to Anthea last year and thanks to thePlanetShakers Conference! and LifeTeen!! They helped me rediscover God... and the spirit to attend every mass...) and it was like different, but it was ok....

Well, tomorrow is Holy Saturday, and Sunday is Easter! Hehe... So, to all Christians reading my blog, i wish you Happy Holy Week, Happy Easter, and may God bless you, always and forever!

See ya all!

Will update my blog again soon, maybe tomorrow!

Hectic week!

Well, its been an interesting week after the drama performance...

It certainly doesn't end there. with us performing "The Pearl" in other schools, and an encore performance of our first play that got Project D together in the 1st place, "The Lotus Eater" as the closing act for the Bulan Bahasa... yay!!

On Monday, i went back to class proper for like, 3 weeks and was like, so blur and confused... Too much relaxatuon, rehearsing and focusing on the drama... hehe...

Then we had a few meetings, and got toghether again, and held auditions for budding actors, and that was it for the drama side of my school life...

Then, the whole week was more or less the same, but this week was a bit special, with some special guests.. hehe... A few (i think 10) students from Thailand came to Sabah College for a visit and tour, and one of them came in to our class for a day only, and his name was Wee.... Nice to meet ya and your friends rite! hehe... As well as some teachers and students from the rural schools, all involved in the Dreams and Teams project...

Ah, today, was a very tiring day....

In the morning, i went to an Educational Fair to take part in the Spelling Bee contest, around 10 am... And when i went there it was like, so many ppl yg VIP this, got kompang2, red carpet la, and all.... Turns out that the CM will visit the fair, and that guests come only at 1 pm! But what do i care, i was already there, so i went in among the well-dressed crowd (i was wearin T-shirt, peduli!) and jalan2 tinguk sini sana.... Then, i went to register early for the Spelling Bee, and turns out the contest is divided to 5 slots, 2 today and 3 tomorrow (Sunday).... It only started at 2.30 pm, so long!! Lucky got Max and Navin to fren me (they were in the contest also) till 11.30, then they go KK. Then i went home, and came back at 2 pm... But the funny thing was, the first person i saw there i recognised was..... Brian, the LifeTeen guitarist!! hahah, in nice suit and tie man! Turns out he was working in Yayasan Sabah, and they had a booth there to promote in the fair, so at least i had him to fren me.....

Then i went in the hall at 2 pm, and watched the Sejarah UMNO quiz first, till 3 pm!! So the first round of the Spelling Bee started late! 12 contestants, you have 2 spell 10 words, and if you get 7-9 correct, RM 20.... All 10 correct, RM 200!!

I picked my envelope with my words inside, and i was the 2nd last contestant, so i was lucky! :-p Besides being the last few, i knew that it would be easier, and turns out it waz true! But by the first contestant, when they mentioned the 1st word, trus blur!! But, at least i didnt panic, (even Drama also i was the coolest and relaxed of all the crew) and watched the 1st 10 ppl go thru their words... hehe....

When came to my turn, as usual, took a long breath, and got started.... All 10 words were quite easy, but the pronouncer's voice was not clear, so i was quite confused, but i still spelt all, and got 8/10 correct, which means RM 20, and a certificate! yay! hehe...

Then i went home feling happy and satisfied, but sad knowing i could have got all 10 correct and RM 200!! hehe... Then went to church, today's palm Sunday mass, and then to LifeNite.....

Just now's LifeNite was ok, very interesting and to those Christians who are wondering what LifeTeen is, i suggest you check out this website: http://www.lifeteen.com and look around... Basically its a Youth Ministry, serving the Lord... hehe... Every LifeNite on Saturdays are fun, but most importantly we can talk about the Word of The Lord, and praise and worship Him..

Ok, i guess that's all for now... It's certainly been a hectic week for me, and looking forward to Easter weekend!

Good night!!

A fun day and night out! hehe...

Today was probably the most fun day out i've had in a week... LOL, only a week... Today's April Fools' Day (but by the time u read this, its over, but i had fun pranking ppl!! haha!) and i enjoyed it...

First, i went to KFC CP for a drama reunion, and breakfast and all, with all the school drama members... We ate KFC again that for breakfast, sooooo unhealthy.... Nevermind, once in a while bah... Took a few pics, cerita2 again, then jalan2... Ray and Lorenzo went to watch movie; Frances, Hanies and Azureen watched a different movie, and Alvin, Jon and Chan went playing racing, leaving me alone!!! Then i bought a birthday gift for someone, and went off......

Next stop, a hotel somewhre for a private occasion... I won't be revealing too much here until i get the green light, so next time folks! All i can say that it was a birthday party.... NEXT!!

Went home, rested, chatted to Fatheen, and bathed.... And off to LifeNight...

Just now we had a special guest, Father John, apparently from the British isles, but now residing in Uganda.... He gave a brief talk on the 4 gospels, and Dom continued it... And of course the worship songs.... Kings of majesty... hehe....

The best part was, i get to prank some frens in LifeTeen! hehe.. to those i pranked, april fools! hehe...

So, this was my April Fools' Day.... Went here and there! hehe...

Drama report... The whole experience....

After the suspense and drama, we finally got a creditable 6th position… If you don’t know what am I talking about, read on….

The Drama is over, and Sabah College got 6th place (but I heard we got 4th though…) in the Drama Competition, pitting teams from 12 elite schools across the district. Sabah College was the 6th school to perform, at the end of the 1st session. We all did a play on “The Lotus Eater”, albeit a modified version.

But before that, let me introduce the 15 drama members and a few extra members, who have helped tremendously towards this competition.

Actors/actresses:
1. Frances (director) as Norah
2. Hakim as Sean
3. Kenneth as Grandfather
4. Alvin Wilson as Thomas Wilson, the younger one
5. Jonathan as Thomas Wilson, the older one
6. Lorenzo as Warren
7. Rayvincent as Eddie
8. Louisa as Assunta
9. Chan as the house owner

Crew:
1. Azureen
2. Norhanies
3. Khairunnisah
4. Azmie
5. Leslie
6. Reduan

Extras:
1. Haliff
2. Neville
3. Asroy
4. …. And to all those who helped!

Now, our play was about the story The Lotus Eater, and we were ok, but just didn’t have that edge to win it. After all, practice started only 2 weeks ago! We all did perform to our best, and that’s all to say.

Now for today….

Today was a great day. Besides the drama, we all got to meet up with friends form other schools and old pals as well. We arrived there on a hot (READ: HOT) school bus, because the air-con’s bust. Anyway, we registered ourselves, and that’s when I saw lots of pals from La Salle, Convent, Stella and even Lok Yuk. After that, we were ‘quarantined’ in a quarantine room, sharing it with another school. Turns out that school was Stella Maris! So it was ok, we rehearsed and practised the props, and relaxed ourselves ahead of the big moment. And guess what, the monitor in charge in our room was from La Salle, none other than me pal, Rex! Hehe… Met him also… So we all relaxed and chatted…

Then, the teacher in charge announced that it’s going to be our turn 10 minutes on. So we all gathered for one last come on kinda spirit and gave it all. Carried the props backstage, got ready, its show time….

Then on 1st scene….. Let the pics below tell the story (but its kind of blur though… ‘Coz photos were NOT allowed in the hall, on grounds that the flash will disturb the actors...)

(Only a few pics, most of them blur, because photography was not allowed, and the photographer was sitting very far away... Maybe next time i'll upload a video of the play. Watch this space!!)

After the play, we all gathered backstage and put the props back. Later, we all were invited back into the hall to watch the 2nd session of schools perform. Among the schools I recognized was St. Francis Convent and Sanzac. Both put up great shows, and probably in my view (I only watched 5 out of 12 perform, due to the quarantine and delays), deserved at least something. Convent was especially good, so too La Salle... Anyway, we watched those plays, and they were good.

Then it was time for the result... I was hoping for at least 3rd place, but in the end, we didnt get top biling. So, here are the top 3 schools in yesterday's drama competition:

1. La Salle (wow...)
2. St Francis Covent (i tot they will win it tho...)
3. All Saints (no comment, didnt watch them act)

Finally, it was time to go home. I said goodbyes to all my friends i met there, and packed up for home... In true style, I listened to Mark Knopfler's "Feel Like Going Home", one of the great songs to hear on your ride home... Superb guitar licks and tunes... Bus tunes, if you will....

All in all, it was a good experience in the drama, and one i'll remember long... The experience hopefully will help us with a chance of winning th competition next year, or at least improve on 6th place...

Final word, great, but just lacking a bit.....
